1st day of June today, and was it a fun one!
This morning it was Ava's last day of Preschool for the year, until next fall when she will do one more year of Preschool before Kindergarten. So proud of you Ava!
This afternoon, Ava and I went to Pond's Park in Prior Lake to watch Caleb participate with his Kindergarten class (along with the 3 other afternoon Kindergarten classes at his school), in their Field Day "Fun In the Sun'. From the moment the buses pulled up at 1:20 until all was done 2 hours later at 3:20, it was a blast watching Caleb have so much fun! He stepped off the bus holding his class team sign 'United Tribe of De Leon', while the radio blared out the Olympic theme, and so proud he was. His class wore yellow visors, which just so happens to be Caleb's favorite color. The next 2 hours, Ava and I followed his class around to the different stations of frisbee golf, kick ball, hop sack, soccer, and the big finale of tug-of-war. Caleb's class won both times at tug-of-war! So proud I am of how Caleb can all at once be a great competitor, have fun with his friends, and win or lose have a great time. One more week left of Kindergarten for Caleb, and then both he and Ava will be on summer vacation:)
