April 12-20 we took our first family Florida-Disney World vacation! We drove the 14 hour drive both ways. We had an absolute blast! Weather was so perfect! Each of the 6 days we were there we went to a different Disney Park: Animal Kingdom, Typhoon Lagoon water park, Disney Hollywood, Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Blizzard Beach water park. Some of the highlights were Caleb got picked go to on stage at a Pirates of the Carribbean outdoor stage skit at Magic Kingdom. He got to do a sword fight and say a few lines with Captain Jack Sparrow and his pirate partner, and then got a pirate certification! Ava met every princess and was in awe! We all went on lots of rides. We would get to the Disney park doors usually right at 9am for opening and spend the day til dinner time. And then head back to our hotel for dinner, swimming and relaxing. The day we went to Magic Kingdom, we were there from 9am to 5:30pm and then came back at 8pm to 10:30pm for the night time electrical parade and fireworks at the castle. At one point of the fireworks they took a break to play music and project pictures up onto the castle that the professional photographers at Disney had taken that day. I couldn't believe my eyes when dead center shining bright on to the castle was a picture of Caleb from that day when Minnie Mouse gave him a kiss!
As anyone who knows me would expect, I took a LOT (and I mean a lot- 1,400 pics to be exact) of pictures and only posted some of them on this post, even thought it is the most I have ever put on a blog it was the max that blogger would allow:) They are a bit out of order but you will get the big picture of how our week went.
