Easter 2012 was a wonderful weekend. Saturday the kids took part in the Heather Green Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Hosted by the Robson's down the street in our neighborhood. It started off with Becca Robson having the kids gather around her while she told the story of Easter. The kids listened so intently. When it was time for questions at the end, kids asked questions...Caleb raised his hand and asked questions like was Jesus cross bigger that your house? He also raised his hand to talk about some things he learned at church the Sunday before in preparation for easter. Then the kids were off on the easter egg hunt, dashing around the yard collecting their eggs. At the end Becca gave each kid Easter in a Egg shell which was very cool. Inside the bag was a white egg that when opened had symbols that represented Easter like: nail, palm leaf, white cloth, hershey kiss, stone, whip, coin. You can read the picture below that describes why. When we got home after the hunt, we dyed our easter eggs.
Sunday morning before church Caleb and Ava had their own easter egg hunt in our back yard and got their easter baskets. After some pictures, we were off to church. We have found an amazing church less than 10 minutes from us. Most of our neighborhood goes too. It is a Christian church that has the most amazing preacher who relates the bible to every day. Caleb and Ava love going too. They get checked into age appropriate class rooms where they learn about the faith and bible and have fun activities, while the parents go to worship. Since the kids were born I always said that by this age they are I wanted to find a church that felt right....and about 6 months ago we definitely found it. This Easter was extra special being able to go to this church on Easter Sunday.
