Can we bring our snacks to Kentucky?
Today at lunch time, as Caleb and Ava sat eating their sandwiches, Caleb was glancing across the way at our snack cupboard.....he then said "Mom, when we move to Kentucky can we bring our snacks with?" To which I said of course we can. He then said "But we can't bring our house, because it is too big......unless we tied a balloon onto it!" To this I asked Caleb if he was thinking of the movie 'Up' that we had watched several months ago, in which the house floats in the air with balloons tied to it, and yes that was the movie that made him think of it he told me. Our move to Kentucky won't happen until the end of August, and we have not even began to decide what to do with our house here in MN or where to live there in Kentucky. However, Caleb is really taking it all in lately and asking lots of questions. Some other recent questions from Caleb on our future move have been asking if he can bring his toys, his bed, our swing set, his clothes, will there be kids to play with in our new neighborhood, can he have his bedroom there painted yellow, and will the big moving truck follow us or will we follow the moving truck. So many questions Caleb has... and as he asks them all in a very positive-matter-of-fact way. Our future move still has many unknowns, but what I do know is that life is a journey that takes us on different paths. Wherever the future takes us- my husband, kids and I will continue as we always have to live, laugh, & love together ...and eat our snacks:)
