October Backyard Campout 2012

Me and my amazing friend/next door neighbor Kelly, had been in talks since before summer about camping.  Summer flew by as it usually does and before we knew it it was fall.  But we did it and camped out in Kelly & Aaron's backyard on a beautiful/crisp October night.  The camping event began early that afternoon when we set up our tent, Aaron and Kelly set there tent up and Steve & Susan set there's up.  The kids played the afternoon away playing baseball, basketball, obstacle courses, and so on.  As evening approached- 3 tents later, 1 fire pit, and our big group of cul de sac of kids and adults, and we had our camping party in full swing!  It was an awesome time.  Hot dogs and s'mores were roasted over the firepit, along with hot chocolate and other snacks.  The kids played the night away running around and telling stories in the tents, while us adults had great conversations around the fire.  Of the seven families in our cul de sac, three of us families spent the night, and the other families joined us for fun and food until it was time for bed.  Next summer and fall we are definitely doing this again, more than once, as you can not beat these wonderful memories:)
