This Saturday, Caleb and Ava had 2 birthday parties to go too. Both of the birthday girls live in our cul de sac. The first party was for Scarlett from 11-2. Her party was held at her house. There was an inflateable princess bounce house in the driveway. A real life Ariel was there, and let's just say that Ava was in absolute awe of having Ariel right their in front of her. Ava wanted to follow her everywhere, hold her hand, sit on her lap, ask her questions ( one of her many questions was what color underwear was Ariel wearing, to which Ariel replied pink of course!). Ariel did everything from reading stories, face painting, balloon making, games, and on and on. Scarlett's dad Chad, made her birthday cake, and it was an amazing Ariel cake that he spent the week leading up prepping for. After Scarlett's party ended at 2:00, Caleb and Ava took a break at our house. And then we headed out for Paige's birthday party at 4:15, which was held 15 minutes away at KaZoing- an inalteable bounce place. Once again the kids had a blast, and the party ended with all the kids in the party room where it was a Candyland theme. Paige's mom Susan made her birthday cake, a replica of the candyland board game. I really love and truly enjoy making my kids birthday cakes each year, and always have for every one of their birthdays. Each year the cakes having a theme of what they are interested in. So, I got lots of inspiration and could relate to the time Chad and Susan put into their kids birthday cakes. The kids had such a blast playing with all their neighborhood friends on this birthday party bonanza Saturday!!
