Flowers

Every year in the beginning of May I head to Cal's Market, only a 1/2 mile from our house which is owned/run by our neighbors just a few houses from ours. In the 10 years we have lived here, I always go there for my flowers and shrubs. The last few years I bring Caleb & Ava with. This year's visit, today, was so much fun! Caleb & Ava were very excited to help pick out flowers with me. Before we got there, Ava knew she wanted to find a pink flower and Caleb wanted to find a yellow flower. We walked up and down every aisle of flowers, looking, smelling, and slowly picking out all 10 different flowers to bring home for our pots on our front step. Once the flowers were paid for, loaded up, and we drove back home....the task of planting them was next. The soil was poured in the pots, Caleb & Ava helped carefully dig holes for each flower, and chose where they wanted them placed in the pots. Caleb was so eager to water the flowers right away, so watering cans were filled and the flowers got a good drink.

It is going to be so fun this summer watching the flowers grow, bloom, and change....just as I will watch Caleb & Ava do...
