My boy...
Today I realized really how much you are growing up. This morning I registered you for your first ever summer t-ball. It is only April, and your games don't start until June. But I am so excited to watch and cheer you on this summer! We went to Target and purchased your first ever baseball glove! Wow, does this bring back great memories from my childhood...I played t-ball at your age and continued to play softball through highschool. I still remember my t-ball team name was the 'Turquoise Twinkies'. Each spring meant my dad and I would make sure my glove was still in good condition or make a trip to Target to buy a new glove (usually a pink one), and then we would practice catch in our back yard. We checked off getting you a glove, and now I look forward to playing catch with you in our back yard and teaching you all about the game.
And then to top it off, you came home from school today, hopped off the bus, and we talked about your day as we walked in the house. I looked in your backpack as I always do for art projects, etc....instead I pulled out your Kindergarten Graduation picture order form! Did I ever go crazy with excitement seeing my boy all dressed in a cap and gown, holding a diploma, and giving your cutest Caleb smile:) I knew you had your picture taken a couple weeks ago for kindergarten graduation in June, but had no idea the outfit they put on you, and just how proud you would be posing for that picture! For now, we will enjoy April and May, and then come June, my boy will be a kindergarten graduate- moving on to 1st grade in the fall....and we will enjoy our summer of t-ball and fun til then!
